Letter L Brooch Inspired by the illuminated manuscripts of the Book of Kells and Book of Lindisfarne. It has taken a long time to get this letter into our collection, because most of the examples of celtic illuminated capital letters are very hard to distinguish for the modern eye. Desmond had to find two sources of the same letter L to be sure that it really was an L! From the Book of Lindisfarne this was on the a page at the beginning of the Gospel According to St Matthew.
