A 0.75″ pure silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and SEL (Sound Expander Lens) ring gives smooth, refined high frequencies, while the larger 6×8″ DDC-coated 2-layer paper cone reaches down to 56 Hz for the deepest, fullest mid-bass in the S-Series coaxial range. The result is a clear, balanced sound from the same head unit and wiring. The most power in the range With 60W RMS per speaker and 180W peak, the S-6802 handles the most power of the S-Series coaxials, so it stays clean as you turn it up. An EFF (Efficient Flux Field) motor structure with a 10 oz magnet and a rigid tooled basket keeps the design efficient and solid, while a double-pressed treated foam surround stands up to daily use.
