TKR5287 – Universal Driveshafts (front/rear, hardened steel, EB/NB48.3, 2pcs) TKR5287 – Universal Driveshafts (front/rear, hardened steel, EB/NB48.3, 2pcs) Universal driveshafts are now available for use on your NB48.3 and EB48.3 1/8th buggies. The driveshaft assemblies are CNC machined from high quality steel alloy and black oxidized for wear resistance. Extreme working angles are no problem and like a true Tekno part, they are durable and will wear very well. They are also light weight as excess material has been removed without compromising performance or strength. Universal driveshafts excel in bumpy and rough conditions. The suspension is allowed to work more efficiently without the extra binding of a CVA assembly. This allows the vehicle to absorb bumps better with a reduced risk of “catching a rut” and flipping the car while cornering. For smoother tracks, CVA’s will produce more traction and support, but universals are also well suited with slight suspension setup changes (springs and oil). The basic design of a universal driveshaft means virtually no maintenance is required and dirt and dust won’t foul the operation of the joint. These are ready to drop into your EB/NB48.3 with the use of additional 8×16×5mm bearings (TKRBB08165). (1x) bearing is required for the inside of each wheel hub assembly. The EB/NB48.3 come stock with 8×16×5mm outer bearings so you only need 4 extra bearings to complete the conversion.
