1956 Fender Telecaster – Blonde (Refinished) We just took in this very honest 1956 Telecaster. This is a “player’s grade” instrument through and through—the kind of guitar that’s been around the block but still has all that mid-50s Fullerton magic exactly where you want it. The body has been refinished in a classic Blonde that shows off the ash grain nicely, courtesy of Joel Wilkins , and the neck features that quintessential “Soft V” profile that Fender really perfected during this specific era. It’s got a broken-in, comfortable feel that you just don’t get with a modern reissue. While the neck pickup has been professionally rewound to bring it back to life, the guitar remains a resonant, soulful example of a “Whiteguard” transition Tele. The electronics are original except for the neck pickup being rewound . It plays remarkably well across the board and comes to us with its original hardshell tweed case. If you’ve been looking for a 50s Telecaster with plenty of vibe that you can actually take out and play, this is a great candidate.
