You may be in the same spot I was-looking for a 6 arc AR15 to take out to the range or do some hunting. I had decided I wanted to try a 6 arc and stay with a gas gun vs move to a bolt action setup. I found the Rise Watchman which didn’t have a ton of press or reviews on it. It was intriguing to me, and when I found online for a really good price, I figured what the heck and pulled the trigger. First impressions were strong, its a great looking rifle, great trigger, good controls etc. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t shoot well. If fact it shot very poorly. I contacted Rise and they provided a label to send the upper back. They found that it was out of spec and replaced the upper receiver and got it back to me quickly. Now I’m in business and the rifle shoots very well. I have taken it out to 750 and as long as the wind isnt strong, the 6 arc was getting out to that distance no problem. If you are like me and coming from a 5.56, the 6 arc is considerably better at distance with only a slight increase in recoil. I have tweaked my rifle some, the addition of a high back pressure can necessitated an adjustable gas block and H2 buffer setup. It truly runs great and I am very pleased with it. I believe that my first upper was a fluke and not likely to happen to others, and I am stoked Rise took care of it and did so quickly.
